| Because the study is still in
it’s first year of data collection, results cannot be directly compared
to historical data, but preliminary comparisons show that dissolved P in
return water has increased. Comparisons on water and salt balances await
completion of the first year of data collection. Preliminary data from the multiple watershed study indicates that conversion from furrow to sprinkler irrigation has minimal effect on DP and TSS loads in return flow at the sub-basin scale. Further investigation of these results are planned for the next irrigation season. |
