Organic P Workshop

HOME

We invite you to join us for a multidisciplinary workshop covering all aspects of organic phosphorus in the environment, including its characterisation, dynamics and ecological role in both terrestrial and aquatic environments.  The workshop will begin with a reception on 13 July 2003, and will end after lunch on 18 July 2003.

 The workshop will consider three main themes:

1.      Chemical techniques for organic phosphorus characterisation in environmental samples;

2.      Processes controlling the dynamics of organic P in the environment;

3.      Integrating processes at the ecosystem level.

Sessions will include invited review lectures by leaders in the fields, combined with offered oral and poster presentation reporting recent research results.

The Centro Stefano Franscini (CSF) is the international conference center of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) at Zurich.  The center is located on the Monte Verità, above Ascona in the southern part of Switzerland, with marvelous mountain views over the Lago Maggiore.  This location lends itself to an unhurried atmosphere, with plenty of opportunity for discussion.  However, total attendance is limited, so we recommend early registration to ensure participation in this unique event.  Young colleagues are particularly welcome.
