HOTELS IN ASCONA

For the benefit of those conference participants who want to bring spouses or family (which we cannot accommodate on Monte Veritá), or who cannot find room at the conference site, we have listed some hotels in different price categories that are in the vicinity of Monte Veritá. They are listed below. Please call for availability and pricing. Please be aware that information on this page was taken from a workshop web site held last year at the Monte Veritá, and could possibly include some inaccurate or outdated information.

 

Hotel Tobler

The Hotel Tobler is a recently refurbished four-star house close to the conference site (10 min walk), on the slope of the Monte Veritá, overlooking Lago Maggiore. All rooms have balconies, the hotel has a swimming pool, children playground, fitness studio etc., and it is located in a very calm area.

Hotel Michelangelo

The "Michelangelo" is the hotel which is closest to the conference site (5 min walk). It is a four-star hotel overlooking Ascona, the Lago Maggiore and the surrounding Ticinese Mountains. All rooms face the lake and have their own private balcony.

Hotel Schiff

The Hotel Schiff is situated in the old port district of Ascona which is now a pedestrian zone bordering the Lago Maggiore and at the bottom of the Monte Verita. Rooms in this three- star establishment face the lake.

Hotel La Perla

The Hotel Perla is situtated right at the bottom of Monte Veritá, slightly above the town of Ascona. It also falls into the three-star category, i.e. all rooms have bath or shower and toilet, telephone, and TV.

Hotel Collinetta

The Hotel Collinetta is about 1.5 km from the conference site. The "Collinetta" is beautifully located close to the shore of Lago Maggiore in the direction of Brissago.

Hotel Silvia

The Hotel Silvia lies on the road which encircles the historic downtown area of Ascona. It is therefore about five minutes further removed from the Monte Veritá. It is not a place of abundant luxury, but the rooms are very pretty and clean and it has very reasonable rates.
