Technical Abstract: Vitamins were shown to be unnecessary for the submerged culture production of desiccation tolerant spores of the bioinsecticidal fungus Paecilomyces fumosoroseus. Additionally, bioassays showed that blastospores, whether air-dried, freeze-dried, or freshly produced, were more effective than aerial produced conidia of P. fumosoroseus in infecting and killing the silverleaf whitefly (Bemisia argentifolii).
