Technical Abstract: Pyralid moths are an extremely diverse and important group of insects. One of the premier scientists studying pyralid systematics and biology over the last decades has been Michael Shaffer of The Natural History Museum, London. His lifelong work is being honored with a commemorative volume of works on pyralid systematics to be published by the Entomological Society of Scandanavia.
