Interpretive Summary: This chapter provides general information on the adaptation, habit and season of growth, compatibility, nutritive value, fertility requirement and establishment and management of all the major legumes (perennials and annuals) and grasses (perennials and annuals) that are productive in North Carolina and the mid-Atlantic region. Also covered are the Brassicas. Information is detailed by forage type with a suggestion of some of the available cultivars.
