Interpretive Summary: Sorghum downy mildew is caused by the plant pathogenic oomycete Peronosclerospora sorghi and is a major disease of sorghum and maize in many tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Severe epidemics of sorghum downy mildew can result in complete yield loss in of both sorghum and maize.
