Technical Abstract: Ipomoviruses including Squash vein yellowing virus, Cucumber vein yellowing virus and Cassava brown streak virus are currently causing significant economic impact on crop production in several regions of the world. Only recently have results of detailed characterization of their whitefly transmission (an important component of the diseases they cause) become available. This chapter summarizes this information for research and regulatory scientists, and crop producers.
