Technical Abstract: Volume 40 of Horticultural reviews is dedicated to John Reuben Clark (University of Arkansas) for his outstanding contributions to horticulture. While known particularly for his impact on blackberry, blueberry, table grape, and peach cultivar development, he has also been a strong and enthusiastic voice for horticulture through the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) and has had remarkable insight into the development of intellectual property rights in the crops he works with.
