Interpretive Summary: Tomato yellow leaf curl virus incidence has been steadily increasing in Georgia. Resistant tomato genotypes were shown to serve as virus and whitefly reservoirs.

Technical Abstract: Tomato yellow leaf curl virus resistant tomato cultivars are a major tool for management of this economically important virus. Results presented emphasize that such resistant tomatoes can serve as virus and whitefly reservoirs and potentially influence virus epidemics.
