This information is useful in identifying species of an important group of mosquitoes involved in transmitting human pathogens The work was completed at the Center for Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary Entomology of the United States Department of Agriculture, Gainesville, Florida. The article will be published in the scientific journal, European Mosquito Bulletin.

Technical Abstract: Species of the mosquito subfamily Anophelinae with published illustrations and/or morphological descriptions of the egg stage are listed with their literature citations. Species of the subfamily have the egg stage better known than those in most tribes of family Culicidae.
