Technical Abstract:
Researchers at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at Florida Atlantic University found juvenile queen conch fed diets containing added macroalgae had higher survival than a control given catfish feed only, but saw no significant difference in overall growth rates among the treatments. In a second experiment, juvenile conch fed catfish feed-based diets with added soy protein and fish oil did best on a diet with lower algae, soy and fish oil contents.
