Interpretive Summary: Nonsymmetrical Schiff’s base derivatives of gossypol were prepared by controlling the stoichiometry of the various reagent. The structures of the compounds were confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. The results will be of interest to scientists working to develop products based on gossypol tendency to form Schiff’s base derivatives.

Technical Abstract: Asymmetrical diamino-gossypol derivatives were synthesized starting from the mono-anilino-gossypol derivative and their structures were confirmed by 1H-NMR spectroscopy.
