Because this was an international audience, I introduced the audience to ARS and the structure of the sunflower unit, and identified our customers and collaborators. I then discussed areas of research that have implications for Canadian producers, and discussed if and how we are conducting research in those areas of interest. In particular, resistance to diseases and insects, early maturity, and herbicide tolerance were discussed.
