Technical Abstract:
The larvae of many Tortricidae are important pests of ornamental, crop, and forest plants. This short paper is a review of a new book on the treats that family. The book is the first contribution of a proposed 6-part series treating the leaf-rollers of the entire Palaearctic Region, which includes Europe, Asia (excluding the Orient), the Middle East, and northern Africa. This volume includes the introduction and the 164 species included in the tribe Tortricini. A section on tortricid pests will be of interest to agricultural entomologists and APHIS personnel.
