Technical Abstract: The advent of glyphosate and glufosinate-ammonium resistant corn hybrids has expanded the number of weed species in corn that can be chemically controlled. Research at Stoneville, MS examined the possible influence these herbicides and atrazine might have on growth, yield, and mycotoxin incidence on these hybrids by comparing herbicide treated vs. cultivated plots with no herbicide. By weekly sampling it was determined applications of these herbicides to their respective resistant hybrids had no effect on leaf area, dry matter accumulation, yield, or mycotoxin contamination.
