Factors contributing to milling quality differences in MY3, a 'RiceCAP' project milling population [abstract]. In: Proceedings of the Thirty-Second Rice Technical Working Group, February 18–21, 2008, San Diego, California. p. 55.

Technical Abstract: A unique California long grain milling population is being phenotyped for milling and fissuring characteristics within the RiceCAP project. Low milling parent of this population has difference in grain shape, degree of chalkiness, and amylose content, as compared to the high milling parent. Contribution of each factor will be evaluated and the usefulness of this population in the development of genetic markers for each factor will be discussed.
