Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: A broad range of flowering synchronization between red rice and rice was established by planting rice cultivars that flowered earlier, similar to, or later than red rice. Five SSR markers were used to identify hybrids. Outcrossing rates differed greatly depending on the degree of synchronization and the pollen donor.
