Interpretive Summary: A detailed description of the morphology for the holotype of Finlaya lepchana is provided and aids in the taxonomic identification and placement of the species which was previously only briefly described. This work was completed at the Center for Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary entomology of the United States Department of Agriculture, Gainesville, Florida. The article will be published in the scientific journal, Zootaxa.

Technical Abstract: A detailed morphological description of the holotype male of Finlaya lepchana is provided. This species was transferred to genus Danielsia Theobald when it was resurrected from synonymy with Finlaya Theobald by Reinert et al. (2008).
