Technical Abstract:
The Morgan2McClintock Translator is a web-based tool that enables researchers to automatically convert coordinates from genetic recombination-based linkage maps to predicted positions on meiotic pachytene chromosomes using previously determined recombination nodule frequency distributions. The output from the tool enables estimations of DNA amount between mapped loci and helps create an integrated overview of the structure of the maize nuclear genome.
