Interpretive Summary: Information on origin, and key characteristics of new fruit tree rootstocks for use with peach, plum, and apricot varieties are provided and, where available, a key reference is cited. This information is useful to breeders, extension personnel, nurserymen and growers.

Technical Abstract: New clonal Prunus hybrid rootstocks offer improved adaptation to site related problems including droughty or calcareous soils, root-knot nematodes and winter cold. Additionally, they offer varying degrees of vigor control compared to standard seedling types which provide significant reductions in pruning and the use of ladders.
