Interpretive Summary: Infestations by soybean aphid can reduce the yield of soybeans, and so the efficacy of various, les toxic spray treatments need evaluation as alternatives to chemical insecticides for soybean aphid control. The efficacy of a fungal formulation, MicroACTM, against soybean aphid was compared to that of a distilled-water spray check and a no-spray check in growth-chamber tests. In each test, pre-spray and post-spray counts of soybean aphids per plant did not differ among treatments, showing that MicroAC did not control soybean aphid in this set of growth chamber tests.

The efficacy of an entomopathogenic fungal formulation, MicroACTM (1 g per 100ml), against SA was compared to that of a distilled-water spray check and a no-spray check in growth-chamber tests. In each test, pre-spray and post-spray counts of SA per plant did not differ among treatments, showing that MicroAC did not control SA in this set of growth chamber tests.
