Technical Abstract: The chapter presents an overview of the unique endophytic relationships between fungi and plants. Also, the unusual relation between Beauveria bassiana, an insect pathogen, and corn is discussed. This chapter presents an excellent review of the subject matter and is important to scientists who are studying evolution of endophytes and is especially important to insect pathologists.
