Citation: Ramming, D.W. 2005. Notice to fruit growers and nurserymen of the release of Scarlet Royal grape. Agricultural Research Service Publication.

Technical Abstract: Scarlet Royal is a large, red seedless grape that ripens in the mid-season. The fruit has a neutral sweet flavor. The berries are firm with a tough skin which results in very good shipping and storage ability. It is a very productive grape that is fruitful with spur pruning and quadrilateral training. The ability of Scarlet Royal to be fruitful on spurs will reduce pruning and tying costs for growers.
