Interpretive Summary: White peach varieties White Rock and White County have been released as new varieties from the University of Arkansas. These peaches have excellent flavor and are quite firm. White Rock is extremely firm even when ripe. These new white peaches offer the potential for production of a novel peach in the upper and mid south areas of the U.S.

Technical Abstract: Two peach varieties, White Rock and White County, were developed by the University of Arkansas. These are white peaches with some resistance to bacterial spot disease and have firm, sweet and aromatic fruit. Selections were made after six years of extensive evaluation of trees for resistance to bacterial spot, productivity, and fruit quality. A comparison cultivar Redhaven was used. These peaches offer novel and high quality fruit for production in the upper and mid south areas of the U.S.
