Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Understanding the genetic basis of SCN resistance in soybean is important in development of resistant cultivars. QTLs have been identified for resistance to SCN races 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and/or 14 in a total of 12 accessions using molecular markers. These QTLs are located on all linkage groups except for D1b, K and O. It must be noted that considerable variations have been reported for QTL locations and many false positive QTLs may have been reported due to use of low threshold values and conduction of a large number of QTL genome scans (Lander and Kruglyak, 1995). Objectives of this study were to: 1) Meta-analyze reported QTLs, and 2) analyze a combined dataset from several available mapping populations. In addition, we will report QTLs for resistance to SCN in soybean lines PI 90763 and PI 404198a
