Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The Hessian fly is an introduced pest of wheat in the United States that has been studied without reference to its ancestry. We are examining relationships among populations in the United States and between these populations and the ancestral populations in the Old World to test hypotheses concerning ancestry and possible multiple introductions.
