Interpretive Summary: The purpose of the Uniform Winter Oat Yield Nursery (UWOYN) is to evaluate fall-planted oats for adaptation to all the winter oat growing areas of the United States. The entries are submitted by public oat breeders in the southeastern and mid-Atlantic States. A total of 31 entries were included in the nursery. There were 16 locations for the 2003-03 UWOYN, with two in Louisiana, three in Mississippi, one in Florida, two in Georgia, two in South Carolina, two in North Carolina, one in Virginia, one in Maryland, and two in Pennsylvania.
