Interpretive Summary: We released 'Eden', a soft white spring club wheat cultivar, for the intermediate to high rainfull, non-irrigated wheat production regions of Washington State. The cultivars has high grain yield potential, superior end-use quality, and resistance to predominant races of wheat stripe rust.

Technical Abstract: 'Eden' soft white spring club wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) (Reg. No. CV- __________, PI 630983) was developed by the Agricultural Research Center of Washington State University in cooperation with the Agricultural Experiment Stations (AESs) of the University of Idaho and Oregon State University, and the United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS). Eden was jointly released by the AESs of Washington, Idaho and Oregon and the USDA-ARS in 2003. Eden was released as a replacement for the spring club variety 'Calorwa' in the intermediate to high rainfall (>400 mm of average annual precipitation), non-irrigated wheat production regions of Washington State based on its high grain yield potential and superior end-use quality.
