Technical Abstract: This presentation will review and interpret some of the existing information on the interaction of water and cotton. Included are examples of hydrated cellulose crystal structures, hydrogen bonded water clusters, and specific surface areas of fibers crystallites as well as cavities induced by polymerization of methacrylate.
