Technical Abstract: Recent progress in sugar beet breeding and genetics at East Lansing MI includes new field harvest equipment, new genetic information on the inheritance and breeding of Aphanomyces seedling disease resistance and sucrose accumulation, and progress in developing new genetic markers using single nucleotide polymorphisms.
