Technical Abstract: This book chapter describes insect pest management strategies that are used in food processing and storage facilities. Discussion topics include non-chemical controls, insect monitoring, heat treatments, chemical control, and impact of physical and biological factors on pesticide efficacy. The concept of integrated pest management (IPM) is also discussed in relation to how this approach is used in food plants and milling facilities.
