Technical Abstract: Hot water temperatures have an affect on fish performance. The primary problem associated with hot water temperature is low oxygen but other factors are also associated with hot water temperatures such as poor growth, high food conversion, feeding practically ceases, fish are difficult to handle, disease episodes increase, and mortality. A summary includes some things that a fish producer might do to better sustain a fish crop during the summer.
