Technical Abstract: This published report details our progress to date of all phases of the barley germplasm enhancement program for resistance to the Russian wheat aphid. Previous report on 300 potential adapted germplasm lines that progressed to the point of field evaluation in 1997 is updated. Three new RWA-resistant barley germplasm lines have been selected and increased from previously identified RWA-resistant accessions from the National Small Grains Collection.
