Coccidia are protozoan parasites evolving simple fecal-oral (e.g. Isospora) or complex life cycles (e.g. Sarcocystis) with 2 or more hosts. In this chapter, life cycles, structure, clinical signs, treatment of Isospora, Hammondia, Sarcocystis, Besnoitia, Caryospora and other unclassified organisms affecting dogs and cats are discussed.
