Interpretive Summary: The diurnal growth rhythm of honeydew and muskmelon fruit, which was previously unknown, was determined. The diurnal growth of melon fruit is a continuous hyperbolic, i.e. day and night, with much of the growth occurring at night. This muskmelon fruit growth knowledge is important when conducting plant fertilization and fruit sugar accumulation studies.

Technical Abstract: This will be Journal Note only in HortScience; the technical abstract is not required.
