Technical Abstract:
Microsatellites were isolated from a library of size-selected (approximately 300 bp) Mbol fragments of bovine genomic DNA cloned into M13mp18. Screening was done with a P-32 labelled (CA)10 oligonucleotide probe. Sequences were obtained by conventional dideoxy methods and primers were chemically synthesized to amplify the repeat regions.
