Technical Abstract: The genome of Serpulina hyodysenteriae was characterized and a combined physical and genetic map constructed. Different aspects of genetic typing schemes are addressed. The content of the genome and an analysis of different genetic elements within the genome is presented. A summary of the literature pertaining to typing methods and genetic content is included.
