Technical Abstract: Trichogramma spp. (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) are the most widely studied and used parasitoids, for augmentative releases, in the world. Large private or government owned insectaries for mass rearing Trichogramma have been established in many countries and considerable experience in the production of these parasitoids has been accumulated. This paper is a review of the basic Trichogramma mass rearing procedures used in the former Soviet Union, China, the United States and Western Europe and of the critical problems that still exist in Trichogramma mass rearing.
