Interpretive Summary: A software package that defines landscape properties for surface runoff and erosion models has been developed and is being distributed to users. This manuscript is the installation guide that help the user install the software on his/her computer and test the proper operation of the software.

Technical Abstract: This installation manual provides information on the installation, verification and initial SETUP of TOPAZ Version 1.10. TOPAZ is distributed either on DOS diskettes or by electronic means such as the Internet. The installation instructions in this manual refer to the installation from DOS diskettes to a PC with a DOS operating system. The user must adapt these instructions to suit user selected file transfer format, computing platfor and operating system.
