Interpretive Summary: This chapter provides the producer with detailed information on how to fertilize and graze either legume-grass mixtures or pure grass pastures. The fertilization procedures are quite different between the two types of pasture and procedures must be followed closely if stands are to be maintained. Also considered is the seasonal pattern of growth for various forage types as well as changes in their nutritive value.
