Interpretive Summary: This chapter presents a brief description on the importance of maintaining green leaf on pasture stands while grazing and when grazing should be stopped to avoid growth reduction and stand losses. The relationship between green leaf and carbonhydrate status of the plant is explained and tied into proper grazing management.
