Interpretive Summary: 'Jerry' is a spring oat developed at the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station (NDAES) in cooperation with the USDA-ARS and released by the NDAES. Jerry provides North Dakota oat growers with a disease resistant, relatively early cultivar, that produces consistently high test weight, yet produces grain yields competitive with other high yielding cultivars grown in North Dakota.

Technical Abstract: 'Jerry' is a spring oat developed at the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station (NDAES) in cooperation with the USDA-ARS and released by the NDAES with the pedigree Valley/3/RL3038/Kelsey//M22/Kelsey. Jerry provides North Dakota oat growers with a disease resistant, relatively early cultivar, that produces consistently high test weight, yet produces grain yields higher than Hytest, and is competitive relative to other high yielding cultivars grown in North Dakota.
