Technical Abstract: In this editorial, the authors highlight recent discoveries in veterinary parasitology in the last 5 years. The status of several new compounds for flea control, discovery of the protozoan parasite Neospora caninum as a cause of abortion in dairy cattle, and the upcoming Toxoplasma vaccine for cats is reviewed.
