Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: There is a concern that habitats surrounding Goose Creek milkvetch populations are at risk of exotic annual grass invasion leading to an exotic annual grass-fire cycle. We sampled plant community and site characteristics to evaluate the risk of these habitats developing an exotic annual grass-fire cycle. High densities of perennial grass and elevations general above 5000 ft suggest that habitats surrounding Goose Creek milkvetch populations are at low risk of substantial exotic annual grass invasion leading to an exotic annual grass-fire cycle.
