Technical Abstract: Transport phenomena at the watershed scale are driven by spatially distributed hydrological processes in which variable rainfall duration and intensity plays a fundamental role. Characterization of these rainfall phenomena using high spatiotemporal resolution is essential when using models to assess outcomes of future scenarios. The USDA-ARS Micronet network, located in the Upper Washita River Basin in Oklahoma, was used to derive event rainfall probability functions at monthly basis. Rainfall events spatial variability was evaluated using cross-correlation and serial cross-correlation analysis using five-minute, hourly, and daily time steps. Seasonal statistical analysis was derived from monthly event analysis. Results from this study will be presented and discussed.
