Technical Abstract:
A study compared fiber and yarn properties from a high-speed roller gin stand, a conventional roller gin stand, and a conventional saw gin stand. The ginning treatments included three levels of lint cleaning. Four cultivars were used in the test. Emphasis will be placed on fiber length, uniformity, and neps, and yarn appearance, strength, eveness, and defects.
