Technical Abstract: Chrysoperla rufilabris (Burmeister) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae), a green lacewing, is a generalist predator commercially sold as a biological control product. Very few molecular genetic analyses of this or similar organisms have been performed. To establish a baseline of expressed sequence data for this organism, total RNA was collected from fully developed but unhatched embryos, and polyA RNA was further purified. This material reverse transcribed and used to create a cDNA library. Sequencing of this library was performed for 96 clones, and a batch of 85 verified sequences were submitted to GenBank, the international repository for public gene information.
