Technical Abstract: The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), is a worldwide problem in numerous agricultural crops. The known parasitoids of B. tabaci include 43 species of Encarsia, 19 Eretmocerus, and a few other genera. Some of these species are more cosmopolitan than others. Work has been conducted on different factors affecting population dynamics and life history of some species, but most remain unstudied. Even with the studied ones, because of the variations of different cropping systems, their value and mode of employment can vary. Moreover, although some factors may not be key factors individually, their combined effects may have a greater effect on the mitigation of whitefly attacks on crops. The following chapter is intended to update the previous information as a tool to understanding the state of the art on the topic of parasitoids of Bemisia and related species of whiteflies. This information has direct implications to the management of whiteflies.
