Technical Abstract: Carambola orchards in Juana Diaz, Corozal, and Isabela, PR, were monitored for Anastrepha spp. fruit flies using Multi-lure traps baited with putrescine and ammonium acetate. The number of flies at various locations within the orchards were statistically compared with the expected distribution if flies were evenly divided among traps. These patterns of distribution are discussed in relation to adjacent crops and the peculiarities of each location.
